Coliban Water

Coliban Water, centred on Victoria’s second-largest regional township of Bendigo now boasts more Berson UV disinfection systems than any other water authority in Australia. Most of these systems are validated to the German DVGW validation protocol which ensures at least 40 mJ/cm2 RED is delivered to the water being treated.

40 mJ/cm2 is recognised as achieving a 4-log inactivation of most common water-borne pathogens. The latest systems (installed at Laanecoorie and Bridgewater WTPs) are validated to the USEPA guidelines – in this case providing 3-log inactivation of Cryptosporidium. Most systems are supported by a Realtech M3000 on-line UVT monitor which alarms if the water quality falls below what is acceptable for effective UV treatment. Many Coliban Water systems have been installed by Laurie Curran Water – a long term, trusted partner of Fluidquip Australia. Coliban Water’s Berson potable UV assets are as follows:

2 x IL1000+DVGW – Leitchville WTP + Realtech M3000 on-line UVT monitor

2 x IL1000+DVGW – Elmore WTP + Realtech M3000 on-line UVT monitor

1 x IL200+DVGW – Gunbower WTP + Realtech M3000 on-line UVT monitor

2 x IL1000+USEPA – Laanecoorie WTP + Realtech M3000 on-line UVT monitor

2 x IL1000+USEPA – Bridgewater WTP + Realtech M3000 on-line UVT monitor
